If you want to use Goki Locks only for the Common Area and guests receive the PIN and Smart key to access the Common Areas, follow the steps below.

1. Create Rooms

Even if you are not using Goki Locks in private rooms, you need to create them to set up a system for guests to receive the PIN and Smart key and access Common Areas.

Please feel free to check how it is done - here.

2. Create Common Areas

Please follow the steps here.

3. Connect a Goki Lock to the Common Area

Smart Lock (previous generation)

4. Assigning Common Areas to Rooms

You can find the steps here

5. Create Commo Area PIN

Please create a 4 dig PIN for the common area manually and share it at Check-in.

Please check the steps here.

Note

Make sure the PIN is shared at check-in. Otherwise, it won't be sent to the guests.

6. Set Up 'When a reservation is checked in, Generate access' Autopilot

You can find full information about Automations here

Warning

Ensure Automations does not have "Has Smart Lock" as a condition, or "Has Smart Lock" is equal to false, otherwise, the email won't be sent.

7. Create a test reservation

You can create it from PMS or Goki > check the Common Area PIN in the PIN email.

Note

  • You will receive PIN only for Common Area/Areas, as you do not have Goki Lock on Private rooms.

  • Guests can access Common Areas with Smartkey as well; once they claim the reservation, it will appear in the Goki App - you can find more information about the Goki App - here.

  • If you are on Trial, make sure you add your test email address to the Whitelist and do not forget to save it.
