1. Create a Key

By selecting the 'Keys' tab from the menu on the Dashboard, you can easily manage Keys for different guests, staff, and visitors. From this section, you’ll be able to view existing Keys and create new ones.

To create a Key in the system, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Keys Section: Start by going to the Keys section, then click on Add Key.

  2. Add a Person: ◦ You will be prompted to add a person. Here, you can either register a new person or select an existing person from the system. You can also add more than one person.

3. Set the Configuration: For each user, staff can define which credential types to issue:

  • SmartKey: Default: Selected, No allocation policy required (SmartKey is assigned via magic link flow).

  • Doorcode: Default: Not selected, If selected: Allocation policy: Random (default), Preferred, Strict. If Preferred or Strict is chosen, a specific doorcode credential must be set.

  • Keycard: Default: Not selected. Same behaviour as Doorcode: Allocation policy: Random (default), Preferred, Strict. If Preferred or Strict, a specific keycard credential must be set.

4. Select Doors: ◦ Click on Add Door. ◦ Choose the specific Door that the Key will work with. ◦ Set the Access Period to define the duration of access. ◦ Specify the Arrival Time and Departure Time to limit the access hours if needed. Set The Permissions

5. Complete Key Creation: ◦ Once all details are set, click on Add Door to confirm the device selection. ◦ Finally, click on Create Key to finish creating the Keycard.

The settings also allow you to restrict access to specific days of the week and/or particular hours of the day.

Upon successful creation, the system will notify you with the message, "The new Key was successfully created."

Once a Key is created, the Keycard section will display only available Keycards, excluding those that have already been used. If you need to update or replace a Keycard, you can easily swap it for another.
