Each SmartLock can be opened up to 52,000 times. Goki makes this process easy, you can see Battery percentages from the Spaces App and its status from the Gboard too. So, when any device is running low on power, you can simply replace the battery module.
Requirements:
You need to purchase a Smart Dock package in order to charge the batteries. You can find the pricing here.
You will need Rooms permission in order to see the battery levels on Gboard/Spaces.
Battery percentage
The SmartLock battery percent is not accurate (about 20% tolerance), when a user unlocks it using Spaces or Goki, it gets updated (we try to read the battery and sync it with the server.)
The low battery warning logic on the Spaces App:
Battery < 10 then show 'about to die' (danger badge / red)
Battery < 30 then show 'low battery' (warning badge)
Otherwise, it is normal (no warning)
Note
To see the approximate percentage, open the SmartLock through Space or Goki, and then check if it's updated.
Changing/Charging the Batteries
Remove the disc from the SmartLock with the special smart disc removal tool.
Remove the battery from the disc by sliding them on the opposite side and unlock (clockwise).
Put the battery in the SmartDock to charge it.
Take charged battery from the SmartDock, connect it to the disc, and then put it in the SmartLock again.
Important Note
Make sure you take extra care when changing out and replacing the battery modules.
There are 4 golden PINS (connection points) on the back of each disc that cannot be damaged as the SmartLock will otherwise stop working and the disc needs to be replaced.
Warning:
Always put yellow & red dots together when reassembling the battery. It won't charge if they are not connected.
Point yellow & red dots together when reassembling the battery/disc. The SmartLock won't work, you won't be able to open the door if they are not connected.
