Overview

Portal provides insights and reports that help you monitor lock activity and key usage across your property.
These metrics help you understand access trends, identify usage patterns, and track how guests and staff unlock doors.


Before You Start

Before reviewing reports, make sure:

  • You are logged in to the correct property

  • You have access to the Portal Dashboard


Key Concepts

  • Unlock: A successful access event on a door.

  • Smart Key: A digital key used through a mobile app.

  • Doorcode: A numeric code used to unlock a door.

  • Keycard: A physical card used to unlock a door.


How to View Unlock Insights

Unlock Insights show how often doors are unlocked and which access methods are used.

  1. Log in to the Portal Dashboard.

  2. Open the Dashboard page.

  3. Locate the Unlock Insights section.

Unlock Insight Metrics

  • Total Unlocks
    Total number of unlocks across all access types.

  • Total Smart Key Unlocks
    Total number of unlocks completed using Smart Keys.

  • Total Doorcode Unlocks
    Total number of unlocks completed using doorcodes.

  • Total Keycard Unlocks
    Total number of unlocks completed using keycards.

These metrics help you compare access methods and understand usage patterns.


How to View Key Insights

Key Insights show key activity and upcoming access demand.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the Dashboard page.

  2. Locate the Key Insights section.

Key Insight Metrics

  • Mobile Key Adoption (This Month)
    Percentage of users using mobile keys this month.

  • Active Keys (Today)
    Total number of keys active today.

  • Upcoming Keys (Tomorrow)
    Total number of keys scheduled to be active tomorrow.

  • Monitor unlock trends to understand peak access times

  • Track mobile key adoption to measure digital access usage

  • Review upcoming keys daily to plan for guest arrivals


Troubleshooting / FAQs

I can’t see the insights on my dashboard
Make sure you are logged in to the correct property and have permission to view the dashboard.

Why are my unlock numbers lower than expected?
Only successful unlock events are counted. Offline locks may also delay reporting until synced.
