Overview
Keeping your personal information up to date and securing your account helps you maintain safe access to Portal.
This article explains how to edit your profile details, change your password, and enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
Before You Start
Before making changes, make sure:
You can log in to your Portal account
You have access to your email or phone (for password reset or 2FA)
Key Concepts
Profile Information: Your personal details such as name, photo, gender, and date of birth.
Password: Your login credential for Portal.
2-Factor Authentication (2FA): An extra security step required during login.
Authentication App: An app such as Google Authenticator or Authy used to generate login codes.
How to Edit Personal Information and Preferences
Update your profile details from your account settings.
Log in to your Portal account.
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
Select Edit Profile.
In Personal Info, update the fields you want to change.
Click Save Changes.
How to Change Your Password
Changing your password helps protect your account from unauthorized access.
Log in to your Portal account.
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
Select Edit Profile.
Click Change Password.
Enter your current password.
Enter your new password.
Click Change Password to save.
Password Tips
Use a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
Avoid reusing passwords across multiple accounts.
How to Reset Your Password (If You Forgot It)
If you don’t remember your password, you can reset it from the login page.
Go to the Portal login screen.
Click Forgot Password.
Check your email for the reset link.
Follow the instructions to set a new password.
How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a verification code during login.
Log in to your Portal account.
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
Go to Edit Profile → Account Settings.
Under Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), select a verification method:
Authentication App
SMS
Complete the setup and enter the verification code.
Click Verify.
Notes
After enabling 2FA, you must enter a verification code every time you log in.
You can tick the stay logged in for 30 days.
Keep a backup option (such as recovery codes) in case you lose access to your device.
Optional: Sign In With Google
You can also enable Google login from the same Account Settings area.
Go to Edit Profile → Account Settings.
Enable Sign in with Google.
